Sabre Yachts Design Team has recently completed work on a new 42 Express. This boat was built on our
already proven deep vee 42 foot hull. The first boat was sea trialed and shown at the Miami International
Boat Show in February 2003.
The new Express has 500 hp Yanmar 6CXGTE2 engines and cruises at 27 knots with a top end speed in the 32 knot range.
Over the last decade, power cruising has become an increasingly popular way for families, young and old,
to spend time on the water. Sabreline dealers have witnessed an increasing demand amongst these power cruisers
for the fly bridge sedan layout. Families relaxing dockside or at anchor, enjoy the social aspects of this boats aft
cockpit. The popularity of the smaller Sabreline motoryachts was proof enough to motivate Sabre to design and tool
a larger boat of the same style. Tooling began in October 1999 and the first hull sea-trialed in June of 2000.
